Pick Your Own Flowers:

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”- Luther Burbank.

Come and pick your own flowers on the farm every Saturday from June to October.  The plot is open for you to explore and pick what takes your fancy.  The flowers are all grown peat free with no nasties, which means you get the best seasonal flowers and foliage the British climate can offer – and yes that is a gentle reminder that we are prey to the weather!  Make sure you bring a waterproof and wear suitable shoes as the farm is a working farm, therefore you will encounter mud and less than perfectly even paths.

For a relaxing and enjoyable outing come and pick some of our beautiful flowers to go home with.  At the heart of everything we do is a genuine love for the environment and a desire to protect the natural world whilst providing the best quality affordable flowers to share with you.  We are passionate about promoting the British cut flower industry and feel strongly about the ‘grown not flown’ ethos.

All flowers are wrapped for you to take safely home and you are welcome to spend time in the field browsing the selection as well as taking in the environment and spotting some of the local wildlife that fills the field. Some specifics for your visit:

  • Come to the office to sign in and collect your snips and bucket

  • If mid-way through your picking you feel you would like more buckets you can pay for extras on the day

  • Please dress ready for the weather – we are in the UK after all.  Waterproof jacket and sensible shoes would be advised as well as a hat and sun cream for our tropical summer days -  however as a ginger I can usually find you some sun cream in an emergency!

  • If you wish to bring your own refreshments that is not a problem but we do ask that you ensure you take away any rubbish with you.  If you’re feeling a little parched we can happily provide water for you as well as your flowers

  • Feel free to take your time and make full use of the benches and tables for a pause in proceedings

  • Buckets generally fit around 25-35 stems, however this can vary depending on the varieties that you chose to pick.

  • Stems should be no more that twice the height of the bucket
